Quick Start
Inletbase gets you up and running fast. You don't need to write any backend code or set up a server. Pick what you want to do below and follow the steps. Most people finish in under five minutes.
The easiest way: no code at all
If your website is built on WordPress or Framer, you can connect it in a few clicks without touching any code. See the guides for WordPress or Framer. Prefer to paste a snippet yourself? Keep reading.
Option 1: Add a form to your website
This lets you collect messages from any form on your site. When someone hits submit, Inletbase saves the entry, checks it for spam, emails you, and shows it in your dashboard.
1 Create your form
Sign in to your dashboard and click Create Form. Give it a name (for example, "Contact Us") and add the fields you want, such as name, email, and message.
Then open the form's Integration guide. You'll need two things from there: your form slug (the form's short name) and your API key (a private code that lets your website talk to Inletbase safely). The guide shows a ready-made snippet with your slug already filled in.
2 Add the code to your site
Copy the snippet below into your website's HTML. Replace YOUR_API_KEY with your key, and make sure data-inletbase-form matches your form slug.
<!-- 1. Add this script once, anywhere on your page --> <script src="https://inletbase.com/inletbase.js" data-api-key="YOUR_API_KEY"></script> <!-- 2. Your form (data-inletbase-form is your form slug) --> <form data-inletbase-form="YOUR_SLUG" data-inletbase-loading="Sending..." data-inletbase-success="Thanks! We'll be in touch."> <input type="text" name="name" placeholder="Your name" required /> <input type="email" name="email" placeholder="Your email" required /> <textarea name="message" placeholder="How can we help?"></textarea> <button type="submit">Send</button> </form>
That's it. When someone submits the form, Inletbase disables the button, shows "Sending...", checks the entry for spam, saves it, and shows your success message. You get an email, and the entry appears in your dashboard.
Option 2: Add an AI chatbot to your website
This adds a chat bubble to your site that answers visitor questions 24/7, using only the information you give it. It can also collect leads for you.
1 Create and train your chatbot
In your dashboard, go to Chatbots and click Create. Give it a name, then add what it should learn from: paste your website address, upload files (PDF, Word, TXT, or Excel), paste text, or add question-and-answer pairs. Inletbase reads and learns from your content. This takes a moment to finish.
2 Put it on your website
Open your chatbot's Deploy tab and copy the snippet. Your chatbot ID is already filled in for you. Paste it into your website's HTML, just before the closing </body> tag.
<!-- Inletbase Chatbot Widget --> <script src="https://api.inletbase.com/widget/chatbot.js" data-chatbot-id="YOUR_CHATBOT_ID" defer> </script>
The chat bubble appears on your site right away and starts answering questions based only on the content you added. You can control which websites it's allowed to appear on from the chatbot's settings.
What's next
Once your form or chatbot is live, here are a few things worth setting up:
- Turn on AI auto-replies so every form submission gets an instant, personalized email back.
- Build a workflow to send replies, call a webhook, or add contacts to your CRM automatically after each submission.
- Set up email notifications to choose who gets notified and customize the emails.
- Prefer to build with code? See the API reference to send submissions straight from your own app.
