What is an AI chatbot trained on your own content?

It is a chat assistant that answers from your material rather than from general internet knowledge. You hand it your pages, documents and question-and-answer pairs, it reads them, and from then on it replies using your own pricing, policies and wording.

A general-purpose chatbot cannot do this, because it has never seen your business. Bolt one onto your site and it will answer confidently and wrongly. The useful version is narrow on purpose: it knows your content, and it says so when the answer is not in there.

Shape it and test it

Write the instructions that set its role, tone and limits, then interrogate it in the playground until the answers are right. These chats are private, so nobody sees the rough drafts.

Four kinds of source, in any mix: uploaded files, text snippets you paste in, website pages, and question-and-answer pairs. For a website you can add a single page or point Inletbase at your site and let it crawl and pull the pages in for you. Your plan sets how much of each you can add.

With one script tag. Copy it from the Embed tab of the widget editor, or from the Copy Embed Code option on your chatbots list, and paste it into your site. The code already contains your chatbot id. There are also native plugins for WordPress and Framer if you would rather not touch any code.

Yes, and it is one click. After you add, edit or remove a source, Inletbase shows a reminder that retraining is needed, and you click Retrain Agent. While it runs, the chatbot status shows training, and you can leave the page. When it finishes the status returns to active.

Yes, on Pro and above. A visitor can ask for a person mid-chat, the conversation is held for your team, and a teammate claims it from the dashboard and replies under their own name. You decide the working hours and how long a visitor waits before the chat is marked as missed. The chat can be handed back to the AI at any point.

Yes. The chatbot can ask for a name and email during the conversation, and any chat where a visitor shares a name, email or phone number is marked as a lead in your conversations list, so you can tell a real enquiry from a browse.

It says so rather than inventing something, and the question is recorded as a knowledge gap. Those questions are grouped by how often they were asked, so you can see which missing answers matter most, add the content, and retrain.

Yes. Add your sites under Allowed domains in the Embed tab and the widget will only run there, so a copied snippet on a site you did not approve does nothing. Leave the list empty to allow any site. Each chatbot also has an active or disabled status, which works as a straight on and off switch.

No. Your documents, pages and conversations are yours. They are never sold and never used to train AI models. You can export or delete any record on demand.
