Cookie Policy
This policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies on inletbase.com, and how you stay in control.
Last updated: July 2, 2026
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies (such as local storage, pixels, and software development kits) work in comparable ways. We use the term “cookies” in this policy to refer to all of these. Cookies can be set by us (“first-party”) or by third parties whose services we use (“third-party”).
2. How We Use Cookies
We use cookies to keep the site secure and functional, to remember your preferences, and — only where you have opted in — to understand how the site is used and to measure our marketing. We group cookies into the categories below.
| Category | Purpose | Consent required? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Required for the site to work, including authentication and session management, security, and remembering your cookie choices. These cannot be switched off. | No (essential) |
| Analytics / performance | Help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it (for example, Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager, and Microsoft Clarity). | Yes (opt-in) |
| Marketing / advertising | Used to measure campaigns and, where applicable, deliver more relevant messaging. | Yes (opt-in) |
3. Your Choices & Consent
When you first visit inletbase.com, we show a cookie banner. Strictly necessary cookies are always active. Analytics and marketing cookies are loaded only after you opt in. Until you accept, we instruct Google’s tools to run in a consent-denied mode and we do not load optional analytics such as Microsoft Clarity.
You can accept all, reject all, or choose specific categories, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time. To update your preferences now, use this link:
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may cause parts of the site to stop working.
4. How We Store Your Choice
We record your cookie choice in your browser’s local storage (including the categories you allowed, a version number, and a timestamp) so we can honor it on future visits. This is a strictly necessary function and is not used for tracking.
We also keep a secured server-side record of each consent event (including opt-outs) as proof that consent was given or refused. This record may include the categories you chose, the date and time, a randomly generated identifier for your browser, your IP address, an approximate location derived from it (such as country, region, and city), and basic device details (such as browser and operating system). We keep this evidence solely to demonstrate compliance and to help prevent abuse; the legal basis is our legitimate interest in maintaining auditable records and, where applicable, meeting legal obligations. It is retained only as long as needed for those purposes and is not used to build advertising or behavioral profiles. We may ask you to reconfirm your choice periodically or when this policy materially changes.
5. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies are set by third parties that provide services to us, such as Google (Tag Manager and Analytics) and Microsoft (Clarity). These providers process data in accordance with their own privacy and cookie policies. We only enable these services after you opt in.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where required, ask you to renew your consent.
7. More Information
